China Yokohama Specie Bank Limited, Dairen 1 Gold Yen ND (1913) Pick UNL S/M#H31-70 PMG Very Fine 25. An early, rare variety not listed in the Standard Catalog. While most collectors will be familiar with the similarly dated note with a vignette of the bank building (Pick S645, S/M H-31-71), this earlier design is only rarely encountered in the open market. This elusive type retains all of its colors, especially on the orange side, with the fine line details clearly visible. An A block and interesting 556758 serial number adds to its appeal.
