Japan Bank of Japan 1000 Yen ND (1945) Pick 45a Cancelled PMG About Uncirculated 50. As the highest denomination of the 1945 series, issuance was limited and the post-war redemption of this note was almost exhaustive, leaving extant examples few and far between. The high face value of this denomination limited the scope of circulation on some examples such as this, which was cancelled after its stint in circulation. Two hole punched cancellations are seen, along with some erased pencil notations in the top margin.
