Diameter: 42mm; Weight: 23.82 gms. Obverse: THE HONG KONG KENNEL CLUB, head of dog facing slightly left; Reverse: [engraved] "Won by / JUDY O'GRADY / Alsatian / Owner / MRS. K. E. McCORMICK / 26 - 3 - 48" in six lines; two hallmarks below. Edge: Plain. Deep gray on the obverse and somewhat of a mottled iridescence on the reverse, this interesting canine medal--for the prize-winning hound "Judy O'Grady"--is a rather charming and enticing example of a type of award medal much more commonly encountered in the U.K., Germany, and the United States.
