CHINA. Silver Dollar Pattern, CD (1907). Tientsin Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaning, Unc Details.
L&M-20; K-212; WS-0025; Wenchao-89 (rarity: two stars). VERY RARE and always desirable, this pattern issue exhibits very little in the way of the noted cleaning, all while offering a sharp strike, highly reflective and mirrored fields, and a golden-burnished nature to the toning at the peripheries. A tremendous opportunity for a dazzling and exceptionally enchanting striking emanating from late in the Qing dynasty.

This Dollar is a representative of the first set of "Tai Ching Ti Kuo" silver coinage. These issues--struck in limited quantities with a familiar obverse design based upon the imperial copper issues beginning in 1906--were placed into circulation and, in less than a year, were replaced by the 1908 issues.

Estimate: $40000 - $60000
