(t) CHINA--REPUBLIC. Ministry of Finance Printing Board. 1 Yuan, 1932. P-Unlisted. Front Printer's Model. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
Printed by MFPB. Mounted on black paper with number "5" at top left of black paper. An intricate border design is noticed in dark purple ink, with a portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-sen at left of center. At right is a floral design in dark purple, with two red stamps below and a solid zero serial number above. Included in this dual PMG holder is a letter which explains the aspects of the design, and was signed by the Director of the MFPB. Rust, most likely from paper clips is found on the letter. The letter is encapsulated but not graded. The printer's model for the 1 Yuan design is in a CU 63 grade. Scarce, and these printer's models seldom trade hands. An interesting piece of Chinese paper money printing history.
Estimate: $5000 - $7000
