One of the key issues of the highly collectible Lunar series, featuring full night-and-day cameo contrasts with just a small copper spot at the rat's belly. We would note that while an initial mintage of 5,000 coins was planned, both the Standard Catalog and the Gold & Silver Coins of China Standard Catalogue record that only 2,248 pieces were actually struck.
