Rama IV 2 Baht (1/2 Tamlung) ND (1863) MS65 NGC, Bangkok mint, KM-Y12, Dav-308, LeMay-Plate XXI, 7, Krisadaolarn/Mihailovs-pp. 155-156, Plates F14 & F16. 30.70gm. An exceeding fine presentation of this largest machine-made silver denomination of Rama IV's reign, generally quite fleeting in anything approaching Mint State. Exceeded by only a pair of MS66's out of 137 certified to date at NGC, we would note that by comparison, the Norman Jacobs Collection only contained a VF30, while the Cape Coral specimen ranked a point behind at MS64. Practically tone-free, the surfaces are a silky silver in color, containing a significant cartwheel luster over the obverse and reverse alike.
