Republic Sun Yat-sen "Memento" Dollar ND (1927) MS64 NGC, KM-Y318a, L&M-49, Kann-608d. Six-pointed stars variety, with ball-shape at top of Yuan. Of absolutely superb aesthetic quality for the assigned grade, some extremely fine planchet adjustments over Sun Yat-sen's bust creating an almost frosted appearance to this feature of the design. Luster cartwheels effortlessly over both sides while the open fields stand free of serious marks, suggesting that perhaps just the mottled toning patches on the reverse preclude gem certification.
