Fukien-Chekiang-Kiangsi Soviet. Soviet Controlled Province Medallic Fantasy Dollar 1934 AU50 NGC, KM-XM1047, Kann-F808, WS-1349-35, Wenchao-1395, SHI-Unl. To be counted among the more challenging entries in this unusual fantasy series, the exact purposes for this issue remain uncertain, though given the continuously shifting regional political influence of the Communist party during the 1930's, and the fact that many of the Soviet "Banks" did not function in the modern sense of the word, it is likely that this type was intended for collectors. Such is certainly further supported by the fact that the Fukien-Chekiang-Kiangsi Soviet Bank is not known to have issued any coins. Normally seen with details modifiers when located at all, this is the first example we have offered in over 5 years, with strikingly few having become available in the meantime.
