Dutch Colony. United East India Company 3 Gulden 1786 AU55 PCGS, KM117, Scholten-61b. Pallas's hand resting on her hip variety. Utrecht issue. An enchanting rendition of this 3 Gulden rarely encountered in anything approaching Mint State and usually seen with great fanfare. A thick, silty patina permeates the present example, lightly obscuring hints of flashiness peaking through the peripheries, while only a gentle dispersal of friction to Pallas's drapery limits the grade.
