(lis) DER DOOD VON LUDWIG XVI KONIG VON FRANKREICH, bare head left; CIM on edge of bust / Guillotine with decapitated body of Louis gushing blood; to left, figure holding book with head bowed in prayer and executioner kneeling right; to right, figure standing right, raising severed head; tumbrel to far right; 17 93 below platform. Hennin 466. Some corrosion, scratches. VF. Rare and surprisingly graphic.
