IONIA. Miletos. Circa 350-325 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.66 g, 1 h), Pantainos, magistrate. Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. ΠANTAYNOΣ Lion standing left, head to right; above, star; to left, monogram of MI. Deppert-Lippitz 178-181 var. (ΠANTAINOΣ). A very rare variety. Light doubling on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
