SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.25 g, 9 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris I (?), circa 300-281. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛΕΩΣ - ΣΕΛEYKOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle with closed wings in his right; to left and below throne, monograms. SC 117.7a. Minor marks and with light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
