SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Alexander I Balas, 152-145 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 3.87 g, 12 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, SE 163 = 150/49 BC. Diademed head of Alexander I to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕ[ΩΣ] / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟ[Υ] - ΘΕΟΠΑΤΟΡ[ΟΣ] / ΕΥΕΡΓΕΤΟ[Υ] Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to outer left, cornucopiae; in exergue, [ΓΞP]. Cf. SC 1785.3. Nicely toned. Flan crack, otherwise, good very fine.
