PHOENICIA. Sidon. Baalshallim II, circa 401-366 BC. Double Shekel (Silver, 29.5 mm, 28.11 g, 7 h). Phoenician galley above waves left; above, 𐤁 ('b' in Phoenician). Rev. Persian king, raising his right hand, and driver, holding reins with both hands, in chariot left; to right, king of Sidon, in Egyptian style garments, walking left, holding cultic scepter in his right hand. Betlyon 18. HGC 10, 236. Fresh and attractive. The obverse somewhat porous and with some deposits on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
