INDIA, Kushan Empire. Shaka, circa 325-345. Dinar (Gold, 19 mm, 7.77 g, 6 h), uncertain mint. Shaka standing front, head to left, armed with sword, sacrificing with his right hand over lighed altar and holding standard in his left; to upper left, filleted trident; to lower right, 'Sita'; to inner right, 'Bha'; to outer right, 'Shaka' (all in Brahmi). Rev. Ardoxsho enthroned facing, holding diadem with two ribbons in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; in field to upper left, tamgha. ANS Kushan 1667. A very attractive example struck in high relief. Minor die breaks on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
