HUNNIC TRIBES, Uncertain. Damma (Silver, 16 mm, 1.33 g), Sind or Punjab, circa 500-600. HA CHA (in Brahmi) Three pellets above one pellet. Rev. Blank. Fishman & Todd, GA7. Nicely toned. Very fine.

From a German collection of Indian coins, ex Leu Web Auction 16, 22-24 May 2021, 1773.

This coin belongs to an enigmatic series called 'the four-dot' series by Fishman & Todd. They are perhaps of Hunnic origin and show a distinctive Cha known also from Nasik in central India and the Vadodara inscriptions in Gujarat.
