LOCAL ISSUES, Kabul. Shahis (Shahiyas). Vakka Deva, circa 870-1008. Jital (Bronze, 17 mm, 1.84 g, 6 h). SRI VAKKA DEVA ('Lord Samanta Deva' in Nagari) Elephant advancing to left. Rev. Lion standing left with jaws open and paw raised; below, 'da' (in Nagari). Tye -. Apparently unique with lion to left. The obverse struck somewhat off center and with some corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
