AYT K M ANT ΓOPΔIANOC AYΓ Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding globe in his left. Rev. ΜΗΤΡΟ ΠΟΝΤΟΥ ΤΟΜЄ-ΩC Gordian III on horseback to right, thrusting javelin at enemy below. Varbanov 5586. A bold and impressive piece. Somewhat smoothed and with light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
