JUDAEA. Aelia Capitolina (Jerusalem). Macrinus, 217-218. Tetradrachm (Billon, 25 mm, 13.32 g, 12 h). [ΑΥ Κ Μ ΟΠΛ] C ΜΑΚΡΙΝΟC Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Macrinus to right. Rev. ΔΗΜΑΡΧ ΕΞ ΥΠΑΤΟC Π Π Eagle with spread wings standing facing on filleted thyrsos, head to left and holding wreath in beak; between the eagle's legs, wine jar. Prieur 1639. Very rare. Minor edge crack, otherwise, very fine.
