NORTHEAST GAUL. Suessiones. Late 2nd to mid 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 16 mm, 6.23 g, 3 h), 'à l'oeil' type. Devolved laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Celticized horse galloping to right, horseman transformed into fibula-like figure; below, wheel and pellet. DT 166. LT 8760. Struck from a very worn obverse die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
