L. Julius Bursio, 85 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 4.00 g, 2 h), Rome. Laureate, winged, and draped bust of Apollo Vejovis to right, with trident over his left shoulder; to left, poppy. Rev. L IVLI BVRSI Victory driving galloping quadriga to right, holding wreath in her right hand and reins in her left; above, XXXXII. Babelon (Julia) 5. Crawford 352/1a. RBW 1349 var. (differing controls). Sydenham 728. Beautifully toned and very attractive. A few light marks and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, about extremely fine.
