MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 424-350 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 1.73 g, 1 h). Facing gorgoneion with protruding tongue. Rev. N-E-O-Π Head of the nymph of Neapolis to right, her hair coiled around her head and with a bun at the back. AMNG III, 2, 12. SNG ANS 430 ff. SNG Copenhagen 228. Somewhat porous and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
