KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 8.59 g, 5 h), Pella, struck under Antipater or Polyperchon, circa 323/2-310. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Charioteer driving biga to right, holding reins in his left hand and goad in his right; below the horses, bee. Le Rider pl. 70, 531 (D182/R387). Boldly struck in high relief. Light scratches and with two scuffs and minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
