IMP C M AVR PROBUS P F AVG Radiate, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Probus to left, holding spear in his right hand and shield decorated with gorgoneion on his left shoulder. Rev. VIRTVS PROBI AVG / KA•Γ• Probus on horseback to right, about to spear enemy falling to right, head left; below horse, shield. Cohen 917. Gysen -. RIC 877. A very rare variety. Very minor weakness and with a thin flan crack, otherwise, extremely fine.
