VIRTVS PROBI AVG Radiate, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Probus to left, holding spear in his right hand and shield, decorated with the emperor on horseback right, on his left shoulder. Rev. SALVS AVG / V / TXXI Salus standing right, feeding serpent out of patera. Cohen 584 var. (no shield decoration). Gysen -. RIC 500 var. (no shield decoration). An extremely rare variety. Some roughness, otherwise, very fine.
