KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.30 g, 5 h), Lampsakos, struck under Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [A]ΛEΞANΔPO[Y] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, buckle; below throne, monogram of ΛΩ. Price 1375. Light die break on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
