KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18.5 mm, 4.26 g, 6 h), Lampsakos, struck under Antigonos I Monophthalmos, circa 310-301. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [A]ΛEΞANΔP[OY] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, KI; below throne, N within circle. Price 1401. A lightly toned and very attractive example of fine style. Good very fine.
