KЄ ROHΘЄI Christ, nimbate, seated facing on square-backed throne, wearing tunic and pallium, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left. Rev. On the left, John II Comnenus standing facing, wearing crown and loros and holding globus cruciger with his left hand; on the right, the Virgin, nimbate, wearing robes and crowning the emperor with her right hand and holding maphorion in her left; above, MΘ; in left field, ΙⲰ / ΔЄC/ΠΟ/ΤΗ. SB 1940. Some doubling on the obverse and with graffiti, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
