On the left, John II Comnenus standing facing, wearing crown and loros and holding globus cruciger with his left hand; on the right, the Virgin, nimbate, wearing robes and crowning the emperor with her right hand and holding maphorion in her left; above, MΘ; in left field, ΙⲰ / ΔЄC/ΠΟ/ΤΗ. SB 1940. Some doubling on the obverse and with graffiti, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
