ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Mutawakkil, AH 232-247 / AD 847-861. Dinar (Gold, 17 mm, 2.18 g, 12 h), citing the caliph al-Mutawakkil 'ala Allah, San'a', AH 237 = AD 851/2. Bernardi 155El. Apparently the second known example from this year. Heavily clipped and with minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
