Iltutmish was the third sultan of the Slave Dynasty. He consolidated the new Islamic sultanate in India after the death of his predecessor Qutb-ud-din Aibak and successfully prevented the rampaging Mongols from entering the Indian subcontinent. This bilingual type carries the Sultan's name in both Arabic and Nagari.
