KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17.5 mm, 4.49 g, 12 h), Kolophon, struck under Lysimachos, circa 301/0-300/299. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPO[Y] Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, head of a lion left above crescent; below throne, pentagram. Price 1832. The obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
