KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17.5 mm, 4.26 g, 8 h), Mylasa, struck under Pleistarchos (?), circa 300. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. [AΛ]EΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram of ΩΧ; below throne, KΛ. Price 2477. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, nearly very fine.
