KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 17.05 g, 12 h), Salamis, circa 300-295. Nike, blowing a trumpet and holding a stylis, alighting to left on a left-facing prow. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - [ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ] Poseidon, nude but for a chlamys draped over his left arm, striding left, hurling trident from his upraised right hand; to left and right, monograms. Newell 15. SNG München. A very rare variety. Fine.
