THESSALY. Trikka. Circa 440-400 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 16 mm, 2.87 g, 3 h). Hero, nude and with petasos and chlamys flying behind his back, running right and holding a band with both his hands passing around the head of a bull's forepart to right. Rev. ΤΡΙ-[Κ]-ΚΑΙΩ Forepart of a bridled horse to right; all within shallow incuse square. BCD Thessaly I 1351 var. (differing ethnic). BCD Thessaly II 776.2 var. (differing ethnic). HGC 4, 311. Very minor porosity and with a small die break on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
