THESSALY, Thessalian League. Mid-late 1st century BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 6.21 g, 12 h), Italos and Diokles, magistrates. ITAΛOY Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΘEΣΣA-ΛΩN Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear with her right hand and holding shield on her left arm; above spear, ITAΛ-OΣ; in exergue, ΔIOKΛHΣ. BCD Thessaly 876.1. Fresh and clear. The obverse struck from a slightly worn die, otherwise, extremely fine.
