ARKADIA, Arkadian League. Circa 465-460 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.02 g, 6 h), Mantineia. Zeus Lykaios seated left on throne with back ending in swan's head, holding scepter in his right hand and thunderbolt in his left. Rev. Head of Kallisto to left, her hair in a sakkos and wearing pearl necklace; all within incuse square. BCD Peloponnesos 1454 (this coin). BMC 27 (same dies). Williams, Confederate, 2, 112. Very rare and beautifully toned. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.
