CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Pantikapaion. Circa 370-355 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 2.26 g, 12 h). Head of a satyr with animal ears facing slightly to left. Rev. ΠANTI Lion crouching left, head facing, holding spear in its jaws; all within shallow circular incuse. HGC 7, 66. MacDonald 43. SNG BM Black Sea 863. SNG Stancomb 535. Very rare and of beautiful style. Harshly cleaned and somewhat smoothed, otherwise, very fine.
