Constantine IV Pogonatus (668-685), AV Solidus, AD 674-681, Constantinopolis, cuirassed bust of Constantine IV facing with short beard, turned slightly right, wearing crested helmet with frontal plume, spear in right hand over shoulder, shield decorated with horseman motif, rev. standing figures of Heraclius and Tiberius, both beardless and wearing chlamys, globus cruciger in right hand, flanking central cross potent with base on three steps, CONOB in exergue (MIBE 7a; DOC 10; Sear 1156), lightly cleaned, otherwise residually lustrous and well-centred, a bolder very fine.
