Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right of Gordian III vis-à-vis diademed and draped bust left Tranquillina / Gordian III, in military dress, on horseback rididng right, holding scepter. Tachev, Anchialos 1; RPC VII.2 Online 48996; AMNG 677; Varbanov 692. Black patina with green-brown highlights, flan crack. Near VF. Very rare, only five specimens known to RPC, three legend variations listed by Varbanov.
