Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.26 g, 12h). Rome mint. 2nd emission, late AD 222. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Salus seated left, feeding from patera serpent rising from altar. RIC IV 178; BMCRE 77-80; RSC 530 and 532. Lightly toned, a few minor marks. Good VF.
