ЄD WΛRD'· DI · GRΛ'· RЄX · ΛnGL'· Z · FRΛnC · DnS'· I · B'· · (trefoil stops), Edward standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield; Є on banner at stern, rose on hull / (crown) IhC'· ΛVT'· TRΛnSIЄnS · PЄR · mЄDIVm · ILLORVM · IBΛT, radiant sun, with rose in center, over floreate cross with lis at ends; in each quarter, crown above lion passant left; all within tressure of eight arches, with trefoils in spandrels. Blunt & Whitton type VII; cf. Schneider 358-371 (for type); North 1549; SCBC 1950. Slightly wavy flan, graffito. Good VF.
