SELEUKID EMPIRE. Antiochos Hierax. Circa 242-227 BC. AR Tetradrachm (31mm, 17.04 g, 12h). Alexandreia Troas mint, "Workshop B". Series II, Group B. Head right, wearing winged diadem / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTI-OXOY, Apollo, nude, testing arrow in his right hand, left hand holding tip of bow set on ground to right, seated left on omphalos; two monograms to outer left; in exergue, horse grazing left. SC 882.3; ESM –; HGC 9, 399g; Mektipini 211. Toned, slight die wear on obverse, minor double strike on reverse. EF. Rare.
