JUDAEA, Bar Kochba Revolt. 132-135 CE. AR Zuz – Denarius (18mm, 2.92 g, 6h). Undated, attributed to year 3 (134/5 CE). Grape bunch on vine tendril; "Shim'on'" (in Hebrew) around / Flagon with handle; palm frond to right, "For the freedom of Jerusalem" (in Hebrew) around. Mildenberg 156 (O11/R58'); Meshorer 285 (same dies as illustration); Hendin 6460; Bromberg 192 (same dies); Shoshana I 20457 (same dies); Sofaer 120; Spaer 227 (same dies). Lightly toned, areas of weak strike. Good VF.
