JUDAEA, Bar Kochba Revolt. 132-135 CE. AR Zuz – Denarius (18mm, 3.22 g, 7h). Undated, attributed to year 3 (134/5 CE). Grape bunch on vine tendril; "Shim'on'" (in Hebrew) around / Elongated kithara; "For the freedom of Jerusalem" (in Hebrew) around. Mildenberg 176 (O22/R110); Meshorer 274a-b (same obv. die); Hendin 6462; Bromberg 200 (same dies); Shoshana I 20477 (same dies); Sofaer 127 (same obv. die); Spaer 223–4. Toned, trace deposits, overstruck on a denarius or drachm of Vespasian (his portrait visible on the obverse). Good VF.
