Danish West Indies 1905 P-18a PMG Choice Very Fine 35 10 Francs
The single finest known example out of eleven of the 10 Francs in the PMG population report, this is a very special note indeed. This is the highest denomination of the series that sometimes becomes available in uncancelled form (both the 20 and 100 Francs are extremely rare and typically cancelled), this type was issued in the Danish West Indies in the first decade of the 20th century, before the islands were transferred to the United States to become the Virgin Islands. This series, denominated in Francs highlights the international nature of the Caribbean. Problem-free with good eye-appeal, this is an offering we do not expect to repeat anytime soon.
