Canada St. John's, NF- Union Bank of Newfoundland $20 1.5.1889 Ch.# 750-16-08 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. At the time of cataloging, this handsome, high denomination note is tied for the second finest grade in the PMG Population Report, with a mere two grading finer. Although Newfoundland was a separate British Colony in the 19th-century, its currency was closely related to those use in Canada. PMG mentions "Good Color" on this handsome and choice example. One of only a few extant and a special Commonwealth offering, especially in this elite grade. An appealing note to Canadian and Commonwealth collectors.
