This rare, uniface Proof is especially desirable as it is denominated in Taels. This bank was a subsidiary of the National City Bank of New York and the ABNCo printed their notes. The center vignette of a bald eagle sitting on top of a formidable bank building that is flanked by two different halves of a globe complemented the name and goals of this financial institution. Despite the tears to the bottom left corner, the overall appearance is quite good on this mounted presentation piece.
