Spain Banco de Espana 1000 Pesetas 10.5.1907 Pick 61a PMG Extremely Fine 40. Simply stunning design elements flank this impressive and rare large banknote. Although dated 1907 and attributed to the first series of 1907 dated banknotes, this denomination was not issued until 1925. Curiously, this is the only denomination of the series printed by the Bank of Spain. 500,000 notes were printed and issued, only to be supplanted by a new series less than two years later. Most of these stunning banknotes have been redeemed, leaving a scant few to be enjoyed by collectors today. Repairs are mentioned for accuracy.
