The known color schemes of the 1 Pound note have been applied to this 5 Shillings prototype. There is only one variety of this denomination issued, and it was part of the final series of notes dated 1928. This example lacking serial numbers, signatures, and a date. Red hues replace the typical blues and yellows. The uniface back shows some mounting remnants. 1928 dated notes feature the colonial coat of arms on the back, which is missing on this uniface proof.
